Lewis named to Academic All-District First Team

Junior guard Curtis Lewis received his first Academic All-District award.

Rockhurst's Curtis Lewis has been named to the Academic All-District® Men's Basketball First Team by the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA).

The 2019-20 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The award is the first Academic All-District honor for Lewis, who is an Accounting major with a 3.57-grade point average.

Lewis was a Second Team All-GLVC selection. The junior guard from Kansas City, Missouri finished 16th in scoring (14.8 per game), 17th in assists (2.9 pg) and fifth in steals (1.7 pg) in the conference.

The Hawks ended the season with a 16-13 record and a 12-8 mark in the GLVC.
