Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Rockhurst's bats were as hot as the Florida sun Saturday afternoon, as the Hawks cruised to a 15-1 victory over Franklin Pierce on day two of their spring break trip.

Rockhurst enjoyed separate rallies of five runs (second inning) and six runs (fifth inning). Three Hawks homered on the day -- Shelby Winkelman, Lauren Marks (for the second straight day) and Hanna Stam.

Calli Wibbenmeyer got the Hawks on the board with an RBI double in the top of the first. The Ravens responded with a run in the bottom half to tie the game 1-1, but it was all Rockhurst the rest of the way.

The Hawks took a 6-1 lead in the second inning on Winkelman's two-run homer, followed by an RBI double from Stam, then Emily Clark singling home two more runs.

Stam, Marks and Payton Staggs ignited the rally in the fifth inning, as the Hawks run-ruled the Ravens.

Shannon Greene pitched all five innings for the Hawks allowing just one run on four hits with five strikeouts.

Rockhurst lost its first game of the day to Lake Erie, 9-5. The Hawks tallied 13 hits, including a Katie Wood home run. RU will be back in action Monday in Minneola, Florida, taking on St. Cloud State at 8:30 a.m. CST and Post at 1:00 p.m.
