Harig leads Hawks to fifth-place finish at KU meet

Sarah Harig led the Hawks in 28th place in Lawrence, Kansas.

Sarah Harig led the Rockhurst women's cross country team to a fifth place finish at the Rim Rock Farm Collegiate Classic Saturday in Lawrence, Kansas.

Harig finished in 28th place with a time of 24:54.7 over the 6K course. Emily Dickson was two spots behind Harig in 30th place at 24:59.8.

Hannah Schaefer was the Hawks' third runner in 37th place at 25:26.8, followed by Maggie Moyer (41st, 25:36.4) and Ellan Harder (52nd, 26:38.4).

Kathleen Gansner (64th), Carmen Macias (66th), Lauren DeWitt (71st), Mallory Dittemore (74th) and Maggie Witt (81st) rounded out the Hawks' runners.

Rockhurst will next compete in the Haskell Invitational on Oct. 12 in Lawrence, Kansas.
