Weekend Preview: Volleyball hosts two conference matches

The 14th-ranked Rockhurst volleyball team carries a five-match winning streak into this weekend. The Hawks (14-2, 5-1 GLVC) host Southern Indiana (8-7, 2-5 GLVC) Friday at 7:00 p.m. Bellarmine (8-7, 2-5 GLVC) comes to Mason-Halpin Field House Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

The Hawks will look to bring the same focus they had last weekend when they didn't drop a single set, sweeping Arkansas Monticello and William Jewell.

Rockhurst, led by the 1-2 punch of Alyssa Woodman (3.55 kills per set) and Karli Reichert (3.35 kills per set), is near the top of the conference standings, trailing only Drury (6-0 GLVC) and Lewis (6-1 GLVC).

Men's soccer looks to remain unbeaten in GLVC
The Hawks (3-2-2, 2-0-2 GLVC) are out of town this weekend for a pair of away matches. They visit Maryville (3-2-2, 2-1-1 GLVC) Friday at 1:00 p.m. Next stop is Rolla for a showdown with Missouri S&T (1-6, 1-3 GLVC) Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Women's soccer, tied for second, hits the road
The Rockhurst women (4-3-1, 3-1 GLVC) travel to St. Louis Friday to take on Maryville (3-1-3, 2-1-1 GLVC) at 3:30 p.m. They are at Missouri S&T Sunday at noon.

The Hawks are tied with Drury for second place in the GLVC, right behind UIndy (3-0-1).

Golf team heads to Springfield, Illinois
The men's and women's golf teams will be participating in the Dan Salisbury Memorial Collegiate Invitational in Springfield, Illinois on Saturday and Sunday.

Men's tennis plays in ITA Regional in Michigan
The men's tennis team will be in Grand Rapids, Michigan Friday through Sunday for the ITA Midwest Regional.
