Hawks post 3-2 win over 20th-ranked Indianapolis

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Rockhurst scored an unearned run in the sixth inning to upset 20th-ranked Indianapolis 3-2 in the first game of a conference doubleheader Saturday at RU's Loyola Park.

The Hawks broke a 2-2 tie by taking advantage of two Indianapolis errors in the sixth. The winning run came home on a bases loaded error by the Greyhound shortstop.

Lauren Marks and Halle Koelliker each posted two hits and an RBI. The Hawks scored two runs in the third on a run-scoring single by Marks and an RBI double by Koelliker.

Megan Freitag also collected two hits. Shannon Greene won her 18th game of the season, allowing two runs on five hits over 7.0 innings.

Indianapolis scored two runs in the eighth inning to win the second game, 7-5. The Hawks scored two runs in the sixth to force extra innings.

Koelliker led the Hawks with three hits and four RBIs. Madison Wagner added two hits. Greene (18-18) allowed two runs on four hits over 2.0 innings.
