Hawks drop pair of one-run games at UCM

Madison Wagner collected five hits in two games at UCM.

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Central Missouri posted a pair of one-run victories over Rockhurst Thursday in Warrensburg, Missouri. The Jennies won the first game 2-1 and rallied for an 11-10 win in the nightcap.

The Jennies scored two runs in the first inning and held Rockhurst to a solo home run by Halle Koelliker in the opener. Lauren Marks collected two of the Hawks' six hits. Shannon Greene allowed two runs on six hits over 6.0 innings.

In the second game, Central Missouri scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally from a 10-8 deficit. The Hawks rallied from an 8-3 deficit and took the lead with a four-run sixth inning.

Madison Wagner led the Hawks with four hits. Hanna Stam and Koelliker each had three hits and two RBIs. Megan Freitag and Taylor Rupe added two hits apiece. Shannon Greene (6-8) allowed four runs on six hits over 4.2 innings.

Rockhurst (6-11) opens conference action at Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday.
