Marks powers Hawks to 6-1 win at Drury

Lauren Marks drove in four runs in RU's 6-1 win at Drury.

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Lauren Marks collected three hits and four RBIs to lead Rockhurst to a 6-1 victory over Drury in the first game of a conference doubleheader Saturday in Springfield, Missouri.

Marks smashed a two-run home run in the first inning and drove in two runs with a single in the second.

Taylor Rupe and Megan Freitag both finished with two hits and a run-scoring single. Madison Wagner also had a two-hit game. Shannon Greene (14-13) allowed one run on four hits over 5.0 innings.

Drury rallied for a 4-2 victory in the second game. The Panthers scored three runs on a pair of doubles in the sixth. The Hawks took a 2-0 lead in the second on an RBI double by Marks. Greene allowed four runs on seven hits in 6.0 innings.

Rockhurst (14-19, 8-4 GLVC) hosts Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday.
