Lauren Marks hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning to power Rockhurst to a 5-4 victory over 10th-ranked Southern Indiana in the second game of a conference doubleheader Sunday in Evansville, Ind.
Marks' home run to left field with two outs in the fourth gave the Hawks a 4-0 lead.
Lexie Zuniga followed with a double and scored on a single by
Megan Freitag.
Kelsey Tepen added an RBI single in the sixth. Marks, Zuniga and Freitag each collected two hits.
Bridgette Sappington (9-3) allowed three runs on seven hits over 4.2 innings.
Shannon Greene pitched the final 2.1 innings to collect her first save of the season.
Southern Indiana won the first game, 6-0.
Taylor Rupe led the Hawks with two hits. Greene (4-8) allowed five runs on seven hits in 4.0 innings.
The Hawks (13-13, 3-1 GLVC) host Southwest Baptist on Wednesday.
