The Rockhurst men posted an 8-1 victory over Illinois Springfield in the their season opener Sunday at the Carriage Club Indoor Courts.

Jonas Stropus, Oskar Unger, Daniel Chmielewski, Decho Valev, Joe Ibarra and Nicolas Riveros won their singles matches for the Hawks. Ungar and Stropus teamed up to win No. 1 doubles. Nicolas Leon and Ibarra combined to win No. 3 doubles.
