Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Rockhurst dropped two games on the final day of the 8-State Classic in Bentonville, Ark. The Hawks (5-7) suffered an 8-6 loss to Missouri Southern and ended the weekend with a 5-3 loss to Northwest Missouri State.

Missouri Southern hit two home runs in the seventh inning to break a 6-6 tie. The Hawks rallied from a 6-2 deficit to tie the score in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI double by Hanna Stam.

Lauren Marks led the Hawks with two hits and drove in two runs with a double in the fifth. Madison Wagner gave Rockhurst a 2-0 lead with a two-run single in the second. Shannon Greene (1-3) took the loss in relief of Bridgette Sappington.

Northwest Missouri powered past the Hawks with two home runs and a double. Stam and Kelsey Tepen led the Hawks with two hits apiece. Sappington (4-3) allowed three runs on six hits in 3.2 innings with four strikeouts.
