Box Score 2 Rockhurst held Missouri S&T to seven hits in sweeping the Lady Miners, 1-0 and 5-3, Saturday in Rolla, Missouri.
Shannon Greene shut out Missouri S&T on three hits in the first game. Thirteen of the 21 outs she recorded were groundouts.Â
Hannah Pyle drove in the winning run with a solo home run to center field in the sixth. Pyle had two of the Hawks' six hits. Greene (5-11) walked one and struck out two.
In the second game, the Hawks collected 10 hits and scored four runs in the first four innings. Pyle and
Alex Hill paced Rockhurst with three hits apiece.
Madison Wagner added two hits with an RBI triple in the third.
Bridgette Sappington (7-11) allowed three runs on four hits in 7.0 innings. She walked two and struck out two.
The Hawks (12-22, 5-11 GLVC) host Drury at noon on Sunday (April 3).
