Box Score 2 Sixth-ranked Missouri-St. Louis swept Rockhurst, 4-1 and 2-1, behind the pitching of All-American Hannah Perryman Saturday in St. Louis.
Perryman (28-1) held the Hawks to seven hits and two runs over 14 innings. She threw a two-hitter in the first game. The Tritons scored all of their runs in the first two innings.
Hannah Pyle hit a solo home run in the fourth for the Hawks.
Shannon Greene (4-10) allowed four runs on three hits in 2.0 innings.
Madison Wagner shut down UMSL on two hits over four innings.
In the second game, UMSL's Ryan Logan hit a walk-off home run with one out in the eighth inning.
Bridgette Sappington (6-10) allowed two runs on four hits in 7.1 innings. She walked five and struck out three.
Pyle drove in a run with a single in the third to tie the score at 1-1. Wagner opened the inning with a single and stole second.
Danielle Cross hit a double in the second inning.
The Hawks (10-20, 3-9 GLVC) play at William Jewell on Tuesday (March 29).
