Box Score 2 Shannon Greene won her fourth game of the season to carry Rockhurst to a 3-1 victory over Maryville in the second game of a conference doubleheader Friday night in St. Charles, Missouri.
Greene (4-9) held the Saints to one run on four hits in 5.2 innings.
Bridgette Sappington got the final three outs to post her first save of the season.
Taylor Rupe led the Hawks with three hits. She drove in the Hawks' first run with a single in the second. Rockhurst added two unearned runs in the fourth to take a 3-0 lead.
Madison Wagner and
Danielle Cross each finished with two hits.
Maryville won the first game 4-0 behind a no-hitter from Wendy Macias. The Saints scored all of their runs in the fourth inning. Sappington (6-9) allowed four runs on six hits in 4.0 innings.
The Hawks (10-18, 3-7 GLVC) play at Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday (March 26).
