Box Score 2 Rockhurst opened the conference season with a pair of losses against second-ranked Indianapolis Saturday in Westfield, Indiana.
Indianapolis rallied to score two runs in the bottom of the sixth to edge the Hawks, 2-1, in the second game.

Lonnie Groves hit back-to-back doubles in the fifth to give Rockhurst a 1-0 lead. Catcher Jenny Thompson hit a two-run double in the sixth for the Greyhounds.
Bridgette Sappington (4-7) gave up two runs on three hits over 6.0 innings. She held the Greyhounds hitless over the first five innings.
Indianapolis won first game, 7-2. The Greyhounds scored three runs in the fourth and four more in the sixth.
Gabbie Boerema drove in the Hawks' first run on a sacrifice bunt in the fifth and her single in the sixth helped bring home with another run in the seventh.
Shannon Greene (3-6) allowed seven runs on six hits in 6.0 innings.
The Hawks (7-13, 0-2 GLVC) face Saint Joseph's in Westfield on Sunday (March 13).
