Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Bridgette Sappington shut down Lewis on four hits to lead Rockhurst to a 1-0 victory over Lewis in in the first game of a doubleheader Sunday in Liberty, Mo. Lewis came back to win the seocnd game, 4-1. The games were moved from Rockhurst to William Jewell's softball field due to unplayable field conditions at Loyola Park.

Sappington struck out three and walked two over seven innings. The Hawks scored in the fourth inning on an RBI groundout by Demi Plathe. Kelsey Dean collected two of Rockhurst's three hits.
 
In the second game, Lewis scored four runs on five hits in the fifth inning. Sappington (18-9) was the losiing pitcher. She allowed four runs on seven hits while striking out four over five innings. The Hawks scored on a wild pitch in ths sixth.

Rockhurst, 23-17 and 13-11 in the GLVC, will host Wisconsin-Parkside on Monday, April 20.
