Box Score 2 Missouri-St. Louis held off a late Rockhurst rally to edge the Hawks 3-2 in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday at Loyola Park. The third-ranked Tritons won the first game, 8-0, in five innings.
Rockhurst pounded out 10 hits in the nightcap, including five hits over the final two innings. A one-out triple by
Madison Wagner and run-scoring single by
Kelsey Dean cut USML's lead to one run.

Lexie Zuniga and
Hannah Pyle each finished with two hits in the second game.
Bridgette Sappington (9-5) allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out 12.
In the first game, the Tritons scored five runs in the second inning and added three runs in the third. Dean collected two of the Hawks' three hits.
Demi Plathe (4-4) gave up five runs on six hits over four innings.
Rockhurst, 13-11 and 4-6 in the GLVC, will host Maryville on Sunday, March 29.
