Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Bridgette Sappington pitched two complete games to lead Rockhurst to a pair of wins over Drury Saturday at RU's Loyola Park. The Hawks finished fourth in the GLVC West and earned the final spot in next week's Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships in East Peoria, Ill.

The Hawks won the first game 4-1 while collecting nine hits. Gabbie Boerema and Hannah Pyle each had two hits with run-scoring doubles. Rachel Evans added an RBI  single. Sappington held Drury to five hits while striking out four.

Rockhurst won the second game behind the bat of Lexie Zuniga. The freshman catcher went 3-for-3, highlighted by a two-run home run in the second inning. Alex Jacobson added an RBI single in the first. Sappington struck out two in moving her record to 16-15.

The Hawks, 21-27 and 16-18 in the GLVC, will open play in the GLVC Championships on Friday.
