Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Trevor Richards struck out 11 hitters over nine innings to lead Drury to a 5-2 victory over Rockhurst in the first game of a conference doubleheader Friday at RU's Loyola Park.

The Panthers scored three runs in the sixth to break a scoreless tie. Drury added two runs in the eighth while Rockhurst scored two unearned runs in the ninth.

Josh Dennett led the Hawks with two hits. Michael Lydon-Lorson allowed nine hits over seven innings with one strikeout.

Drury held Rockhurst to six hits to win the second game, 8-0. The Panther scored seven runs in the first three innings. Patrick Burns posted two hits for the Hawks. Thomas Woodard (2-3) took the loss.

Rockhurst, 14-23 and 12-13 in the GLVC, play GLVC West leader Drury in a noon doubleheader on Saturday.
