Lewis jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the second game. Rockhurst scored four runs in the fourth.
Kelsey Dean posted two of the Hawks' four hits.
Alex Jacobson drove in three runs without getting a hit. Plathe (3-9) pitched the first two innings and took the loss.
The Hawks, 15-23 and 10-14 in the GLVC, return home to host Illinois Springfield in a noon doubleheader on Friday, April 18.
