Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Senior third baseman Alex Jacobson powered Rockhurst to a doubleheader sweep over Missouri S&T Saturday in Rolla, Mo. Jacobson hit a three-run home run to lead Rockhurst to a 4-3 victory in the second game, in addition to hitting a solo homer in the Hawks' 3-1 win in the first game.

Jacobson's fifth home run of the season rallied the Hawks from a 3-1 deficit in the sixth inning in Game 2. Liz Desloge hit her second home run of the season to tie the score at 1-1 in the fourth inning before S&T scored two runs in the fifth.

In the first game, Jacobson homered in the second to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. Desloge hit a two-run double in the fourth to put Rockhurst in front 3-0.

Bridgette Sappington (7-8) was the winning pitcher in both games. She pitched a complete game in the first game and relieved starter Demi Plathe to win the second game while throwing two and a third innings.

The Hawks, 8-14 and 3-5 in the GLVC, play a noon doubleheader at Drury on Sunday.
