Rockhurst falls in five at Truman State

Maggie Hummel posted 17 kills at Truman State.

Box Score Rockhurst rallied to force a fifth set at Truman State before falling to the Bulldogs 3-2 Saturday in Kirksville, Mo.

The Hawks won the first set, 25-17, and fourth set, 25-22. Truman State won the second and third sets by 25-19 and 25-20 scores. The Bulldogs closed out the match on a 4-0 run to win the fifth set 15-12.

Preecy Seever led the Hawks with 17 kills and six blocks. Maggie Hummel also posted 17 kills. Morgan Rietzke collected 16 kills, 17 digs and six blocks. Freshman libero Anne Hellwege posted 28 digs. Alyssa Arnold and Lauren Poulicek each had 16 digs. Whitney Kostal finished with 62 assists and eight digs.

Rockhurst (12-2, 7-2 GLVC) hosts Ottawa on Tuesday.
