Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Tyler Gans collected three hits and two RBIs to lead Rockhurst to a 6-5 victory over Saginaw Valley State on Wednesday in Clearwater, Fla. The Hawks earlier posted a 9-2 win over Urbana on Wednesday.

Gans broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. He also singled home a run in the second and tripled to lead off the first. Patrick Chandler hit a pair of run-scoring singles in the first and second. Anthony Davis added two hits and an RBI. Jordan Stull's single in the sixth tied the score at 5-5. Alex Seier relieved Nathan Shores to pick up his second win of the season. Josh Samuelson retired the side in order in the ninth to get his first save of the season.

Rockhurst scored seven runs in the third inning in its win over Urbana. Davis drove in two runs with a single and collected two of the Hawks' eight hits. Jake Goessling threw the first six innings to post his first win of his college career. Thomas Cargile and Matt D'Angelo pitched the final three innings.

The Hawks (3-2) close out their Florida trip against Walsh on Thursday and Cedarville on Saturday.
