The Rockhurst Hawks suffered a 6-3 loss to Washburn on Thursday at RU's Loyola Park Tennis Courts.

Rockhurst fell behind 2-1 after the three doubles matches. The Ichabods then won four of the six singles matches. Rodolfo Gauto-Mariotti rallied for three-set win in No. 1 singles. Yassir El Ghazi also had to go three sets to win his match in No. 2 singles. El Ghazi and Truit Gray teamed up to win their No. 2 double match.

The Hawks (6-2) host Emporia State on Friday, March 15.
