Hawks face 19th-ranked Regis in St. Louis

Rockhurst is making its second appearance in the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship. The 24th-ranked Hawks, 12-4, will face the 19th-ranked Regis Rangers, 14-5, in an NCAA Division II Midwest Regional first-round game Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Maryville University Lacrosse Field in St. Louis, Missouri. The Midwest Regional winner will advance to the D-II national semifinals, May 21, in Rochester, N.Y.

RU vs. REGIS: Rockhurst and Regis will be meeting for the 13th time. Regis has won the previous 12 meetings, most recently posting an 11-7 win over Rockhurst in Denver on March 11, 2026.

2026 RU ROSTER: Rockhurst's 2026 NCAA roster includes 10 seniors, eight juniors, four sophomores and six freshmen representing nine U.S. states, Canada and England. Thirteen members of the team are from Missouri and two each from Kansas, Texas, California, Tennessee and Canada.

HEAD COACH: Molly McCourt is in her 12th year with the Hawks and has a 105-80 career record. She has led her team to seven winning seasons and five double-digit win seasons. Rockhurst ranks 20th in scoring offense (14.50/game) and 10th in draw control percentage in D-II (65.5).

TEAM LEADERS: Elise Magee leads the team with 55 goals, 24 free-position goals, 10 assists and 65 points. Kylee Pickens is the team leader in draw controls (178) and co-leader in assists (10). Chony Garza has posted a team-high 15 caused turnovers. Kayla Stewart leads the team in ground balls (28) and saves (84).

NCAA STAT LEADERS: Kylee Pickens ranks second in draw controls (11.12 per game) in the country. Elise Magee stands second in free-position goals (1.50 per game) and 20th in goals per game (3.44) nationally.

ALL-GLVC HONORS: Three Rockhurst players received All-Conference honors from the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Senior attacker Elise Magee and sophomore midfielder Kylee Pickens garnered First Team accolades. Junior defender Chony Garza earned Second Team honors.
