Three Hawks receive All-GLVC honors

Three Rockhurst women's lacrosse players received postseason honors in the Great Lakes Valley Conference's Women's Lacrosse awards release on Thursday.

Senior attacker Elise Magee and sophomore midfielder/draw control specialist Kylee Pickens received All-GLVC First Team honors. Magee leads the team in goals (52), assists (10) and points (62). Pickens is the conference leader in draw controls (168) and ranks second on the team in goals (36), assists (8) and points (45).

Junior defender Chony Garza was named to the All-GLVC Third Team. She leads the team with 15 caused turnovers.

Payton Thomas is RU's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship individual nominees. These individuals must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. Beins is now eligible to become one of RU's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.

Rockhurst also received the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Team Award.
