Three Hawks earn All-GLVC accolades

Three Hawks earned 2026 All-GLVC Men's Basketball honors
Three Hawks earned All-Conference nominations from the GLVC, while Jaylen Wesley and head coach Kyle Blackbourn nabbed major postseason honors.

Wesley earned GLVC Player of the Year honors and Blackbourn was voted GLVC Coach of the Year by his peers. In total, 21 student-athletes claimed 2025-26 All-Conference honors.

Wesley becomes Rockhurst's first GLVC Player of the Year since Aaron Hill in 2008-09 and notched RU's first All-Defensive Team honor since Connor Evans in 2018-19. He was also named to the All-GLVC First Team. The senior guard from Phoenix, Arizona is averaging 21.4 points per game—tied for 13th in the nation and second in the GLVC—and is averaging a team-leading 6.4 rebounds per game. Wesley ranks fourth overall in the GLVC in field goal percentage (52.9), and second in free throws made (153). He was named GLVC Player of the Week on Nov. 17, Dec. 1, Jan. 12, Feb. 9 and Feb. 23.

Blackbourn becomes the second Rockhurst men's basketball head coach to win Coach of the Year, joining Bill O'Connor in 2008-09. He led Rockhurst to a 23-5 regular-season record, the most wins in a single season since 2001-02. Rockhurst's 87 points per game average leads the GLVC and ranks 15th in the nation. RU also leads the GLVC in scoring margin (13.9), field goal percentage (.485), and free throw percentage (.799).

Drenin Dinkins collected All-GLVC First Team honors. The senior guard from Annapolis, Missouri averaged 22.5 points per game, which leads the GLVC and ranks ninth in the nation. He ranks tied for fifth in the GLVC in three-point field goal percentage (40.7), sixth in three-point field goals per game (2.6) and fifth in three-point field goals (72). His 194 free throws made leads the GLVC and ranks third in the nation, while his 90.2 free-throw percentage also led the GLVC and ranks seventh in the nation. He was named GLVC Player of the Week on Dec. 22.

Jaden Flournoy received All-GLVC Second Team honors. The senior forward from Grand Prairie, Texas averaged 11.1 points per game. His 53.6 field goal percentage ranks second on the team and third in the GLVC. He also is averaging 5.8 rebounds per game and has tallied a total of 163 rebounds, which both rank second on the team.

McKendree earned the sport's GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Team Award, while 15 student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior were also recognized. Landon Eiland is Rockhurst's nominee. These individuals must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees from full-time GLVC member institutions are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
