Hawks travel to Southwest Baptist, host Drury

The Hawks are 10-1 at home this season

The Rockhurst men take a five-game winning streak into this week's games. The Hawks play at Southwest Baptist on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and host Drury on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Rockhurst (17-5) is tied with McKendree and Illinois Springfield for the best record in the GLVC at 11-3. The Hawks average a conference-high 89.5 points per game, ranking 10th in the nation in Division II.

The Hawks are ranked 26th with 23 votes in this week's NCAA Division II NABC Top 25 Coaches' Poll, moving one spot from being ranked in the Top 25 for the first time since 2002.

Jaylen Wesley earned his fourth GLVC Player of the Week award this season after recording 32 points, six rebounds, six steals and three assists against William Jewell on Feb. 5.

Drenin Dinkins posted 28 points on 10-of-12 shooting from the field. Dating back to Jan. 15, Dinkins has made 55 of his last 56 free throws.

Dinkins is averaging 22.7 points per game, ranking seventh in NCAA Division II. Wesley ranks 13th in D2 with a 21.4 scoring average.

Southwest Baptist (12-11, 6-9 GLVC) is coming off a pair of losses to Truman State on Feb. 5 and William Jewell on Feb. 7.

Rockhurst is on a four-game winning streak against the Bearcats. The Hawks defeated SBU, 87-78, earlier this season at Mason-Halpin.

Drury (12-11, 7-8 GLVC) has won four of its last five games and face William Jewell on Thursday before their matchup at Rockhurst. The Panthers defeated Rockhurst earlier this season, 104-98, on Jan. 2 in Springfield, Missouri.
