Men's Basketball Picked Ninth in GLVC Preseason Poll

The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) released the 2026-27 Men's Basketball Preseason Poll on Friday, and the Rockhurst Men's Basketball Team has been picked to finish ninth.

The annual GLVC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll was voted on by the league coaches who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team. It also ranks all 15 teams in predicted order of finish.

This season, Rockhurst will be led by first-year head coach Todd Lorensen, which begins Nov. 9 against Park inside Mason-Halpin Field House. Rockhurst is coming off a 23-7 season, including the program's first-ever GLVC Regular Season Championship and the first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2009.

After the season-opener against Park, the Hawks will face Davenport and Purdue Northwest in the GLVC/GLIAC Challenge in Hammond, Indiana before returning home to play Washburn and Missouri Southern. The Hawks' conference opener is on Nov. 30 against Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Missouri.
