The Rockhurst men's basketball team returns to Mason-Halpin Field House for a pair of GLVC matchups with Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Maryville on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Hawks split their two games last week, falling 104-98 at Drury on Jan. 2 before bouncing back with an 87-78 win over Southwest Baptist on Jan. 4 in Kansas City.

During the win over Southwest Baptist, Drenin Dinkins and Jaylen Wesley combined for 50 points. Micah Deaver scored a career-high 13 points, including 11 in the first half and a buzzer-beating layup to end the first half.

Rockhurst leads the conference in points per game with 88.4. Dinkins leads the conference with an average of 20.8 points per game while Wesley is second with an average of 20.5 points per game.

UMSL (9-6, 3-3 GLVC) split its last two, winning 93-60 over Quincy on Jan. 2 before falling 79-67 to Upper Iowa on Jan. 4. The Tritons have won four of their last six.

UMSL leads the all-time series 28-27. Each team won a game against each other last season. Rockhurst won 88-71 in St. Louis, while UMSL won 77-70 in the opening round of the GLVC Tournament in St. Charles, Missouri.

Maryville (2-12, 0-6 GLVC) fell to Upper Iowa 95-73 on Jan. 2 and 86-66 to Lewis on Jan. 4. The Saints face William Jewell on Thursday before facing the Hawks on Saturday.

Rockhurst holds a 14-8 all-time series lead against Maryville. The Saints won 82-79 in the most recent contest in St. Louis, Missouri last January.
