Hawks host Lewis, Upper Iowa this week

Rockhurst comes into the weekend with a 12-5 record and 6-3 in the GLVC

Rockhurst Men's Basketball returns to Mason-Halpin Field House to face Lewis on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Upper Iowa on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Last week, Rockhurst (12-5) split their two road games, starting with an 84-56 win at Illinois Springfield on Thursday. Rockhurst fell 89-87 on Saturday in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dinkins led all scorers with 28 points.

In the league standings, Rockhurst is tied for fourth with McKendree at 6-3. Dinkins (21.8 per game) and Wesley (20.7 pg) enter this week leading the conference in average points per game.

Lewis (4-12, 2-6 GLVC) fell 74-40 to Truman State on Jan. 15 and lost 68-60 to William Jewell on Jan. 17.

Overall, the Flyers hold a 16-7 series lead over the Hawks. Rockhurst fell 86-85 to Lewis in the most recent matchup on Jan. 25, 2025, in Romeoville, Illinois.

Upper Iowa (13-3) fell 85-66 to Quincy on Jan. 15 and won 91-82 over Truman State on Jan. 17. The Peacocks will face William Jewell on Thursday before facing Rockhurst.

Heading into this weekend, Upper Iowa has the best record in the GLVC at 8-1 and have won five of its last six. The Peacocks are 2-0 all time against Rockhurst, winning 84-71 on Jan. 23, 2025, in Fayette, Iowa in their most recent matchup.
