Rockhurst Men's Basketball travels to Illinois Springfield on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Indianapolis on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Last week, Rockhurst won 85-79 over UMSL on Jan. 8 and 104-65 against Maryville on Jan. 10. Both games were inside Mason-Halpin Field House.
Jaylen Wesley was named GLVC Player of the Week for the third time this season. He averaged 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in two conference victories last week. Drenin Dinkins matched his career-high of 35 points and added five rebounds in the Maryville win.
Rockhurst enters the week tied for fourth in the overall GLVC standings at 5-2 and are 11-4 overall. Currently, Rockhurst leads the conference in overall average points per game as a team (89.2) and overall team field goal percentage (48.1).
Dinkins (21.3) and Wesley (20.9) rank first and second in scoring in the conference.
Springfield (10-5, 6-1 GLVC) won 91-60 at Quincy on Jan. 8 and fell to Truman State 66-65 on Jan. 10.
Rockhurst holds a 12-9 all-time series lead over the Prairie Stars. Rockhurst fell to the Prairie Stars 81-73 in Kansas City on Jan. 18, 2025, but won 81-73 in Springfield, Illinois on March 1, 2025.
UIndy (7-8, 5-2 GLVC) fell 83-78 to Upper Iowa on Jan. 8 and won 82-76 against Quincy on Jan. 10. The Greyhounds have won two of their last three and will face William Jewell on Thursday.
The Greyhounds lead the all-time series 15-7 dating back to the 1963-64 season. Rockhurst won 90-72 in the most recent matchup back on Jan. 16, 2025.
