The Rockhurst men's tennis team opened the fall season last weekend in the Rockhurst Invitational at the Plaza Tennis Center.

Diego Schtulmann won the consolation finals in the Red Draw singles with a 5-4 (7-3), 4-2 win over Zinovii Nahariniak of Nebraska-Kearney.

Alexi Khamrotau finished third in the Orange Draw with a 2-1 record. He defeated Alexandre Jaulin of Nebraska-Kearney, 4-2, 4-2, in the third-place match. Andres Sahagun placed fourth in the Green Draw with a tie-break win in the quarterfinals.

In doubles play, Alex Tikhonov and Khamrotau finished third in the Red Draw, defeating Nebraska-Kearney's Cesare Carpano and Yarona Morule, 6-3.
