Hawks nab 18th consecutive Team Academic Award

The Hawks finished were recognized among the top 20 percent of team GPAs for the sixth consecutive year

The Rockhurst University women's volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the 18th consecutive year.

The AVCA Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade point average.

Rockhurst is one of 159 NCAA Division II programs to receive the AVCA's annual academic award. The Hawks finished the academic year with a 3.72 cumulative GPA and were also recognized as being among the top 20 percent of team GPAs for the sixth consecutive year.

The Hawks are one of 32 NCAA DII teams listed on the Team Academic Honor Roll for being in the top 20 percent. In addition, 15 players earned a 3.50 or higher GPA during the 2024-25 academic year.
