Drew Cornelison connected on two home runs and drove in four runs to lead Rockhurst to a 13-1 victory over William Jewell Thursday night in Liberty, Missouri.

Cornelison hit a pair of two-run homers to right field in the first and fifth innings. The senior outfielder now leads the Hawks with 15 home runs and 45 RBI.

The Hawks scored seven runs and hit three home runs in the fifth. Michael Laudando hit a solo homer and Dakota Hanna gave the Hawks a 10-0 lead with a three-run homer.

Laudando, Adonis Forte, Cornelison and Michael Novak each had two hits as the Hawks collected 14 hits. Patrick Wind added a two-run single in the sixth.

Jake Canent (6-3) shut out Jewell on four hits while striking out three over 5.0 innings.

Rockhurst (24-21, 14-15 GLVC) plays a doubleheader at William Jewell Friday afternoon.
