Schilp leads Hawks at Ken Partridge Invitational

The Rockhurst men's golf team finished in ninth place at the Ken Partridge Invitational Tuesday at the Purgatory Golf Course in Noblesville, Indiana.

The Hawks shot a 298 and 290 on the first day, while closing with a 296 on the second day to finish with a 54-hole score of 884. Concordia-St. Paul won the team title with an 859 team score.

David Schilp tied for 11th place to lead the Hawks. Schilp broke his career low for 54 holes with a 216 (77-68-71) and tied his career low for 18 holes in the second round with his 71 as he birdied six holes and eagled the 18th hole.

Elijah Shirley tied for 26th at 220 and Ashton Vinton tied for 49th at 224. Kingston Solomon (68th, 227), Mike Wolski (76th, 228) and Ben Elgas (83rd, 229) rounded out the Rockhurst golfers.
