The Rockhurst men's golf team tied for sixth place at the Maverick Desert Classic Tuesday at the Penn Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.

The Hawks shot a 301 in the final round after opening with a 288 in the first round to finish with a 36-hole score of 589.

Kingston Solomon and Bryce Renz both tied for first place to lead Rockhurst. Solomon shot a 69 in the first round and a 73 in the second round to finish with a 142 score. Renz shot a 71 in both rounds for his 142 total.

Mike Wolski tied for 20th place at 147 (73-78) and Ashton Vinton tied for 25th at 148 (71-77). Lander Guibert came in 40th at 151 (74-77) and Adam Challoner tied for 41st at 152 (75-77).
