The Rockhurst men's golf team tied for first place at the rain-shortened Flyer Spring Invitational Tuesday at the Bolingbrook Golf Club in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

The Hawks shot a 151 over nine holes in the final round after opening with a 296 in the first round to finish with a 27-hole score of 447, which matched Illinois Springfield's team score.

Ashton Vinton won medalist honors to lead Rockhurst. Vinton shot a two-under-par 70 in the first round and a one-over-par 37 over nine holes in the second round to finish with a 107 score for 27 holes.

Vinton tied for first in birdies (6), tied for second in par-4 scoring average (4.0), and tied for fourth in par-5 scoring average (4.67).

Adam Challoner tied for 17th place at 113 (74-39) and Mike Wolski tied for 25th at 114 (77-37). Kingston Solomon tied for 33rd at 115 (75-40) and Bryce Renz tied for 51st at 118 (80-38).
