Hawks drop match play event to Bemidji State

Ben Elgas shot a two-under par 70 to win by 12 strokes

The Rockhurst men's golf team fell to Bemidji State by a 5-2 score in a match play event Tuesday at the Oakwood Country Club in Kansas City, Missouri.

Ben Elgas and Ashton Vinton each posted wins for the Hawks. Elgas shot a two-under par 70 to win by 12 strokes. Vinton won by four shots while shooting a 76.

David Schilp fell short by one shot after shooting a 79. Mike Wolski (80) and Elijah Shirley (86) both lost by two strokes. Kingston Solomon (76) and Tim Power (85) each lost by four shots.

The Hawks will compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Golf Championships at the Silo Ridge Country Club in Bolivar, Missouri, April 20-22.
