Hawks post third place at Saint Mary event

Landon Comstock led the Hawks' runners in the 1500 meters
The Rockhurst men's track and field team finished in third place with 70.5 points at the Spire Distance Carnival & Team Challenge Saturday at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Nick Marchetti won the 400-meter hurdles in 55.66 and finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.87. Both of his times were second best in school history.

Sam Rosenberg came in 18th in the 5000 meters in a school record time of 15:10.27. Myles Jackson broke the outdoor record in the long jump (8.82 meters), in addition to posting the second best times at Rockhurst in the 100 and 200.

Lucas Boyer and Ethan Beach both set personal best times in the 200 and 400 meters. Boyer broke the school record in the 200 (21.92). Beach's time (49.97) was the third best all-time at Rockhurst.
