Women drop spring opener to Midwestern State

Ella Coleman won her No. 1 singles match

Box Score The Rockhurst women's tennis team fell to Midwestern State, 6-1, in their spring season opener Friday at the Northland Racquet Club in North Kansas City, Missouri.

Ella Coleman, who is ranked 44th in the nation, won her No. 1 singles match in three sets. She rallied to win the last two sets, 7-6 (7-5) and 13-11. Coleman and Zuzanna Szmyd lost their No. 1 doubles match, 6-1.
