Men host Lincoln, Missouri S&T this week

Rockhurst is tied for sixth in the GLVC Point Rating System
The Rockhurst men's basketball team plays their final two home games of the season this week. The Hawks face Lincoln on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and No. 11 Missouri S&T on Saturday at 2 p.m. on Senior Day.

Rockhurst split last week's road trip, falling 81-69 to Drury on Thursday before a 55-point second half led to an 85-77 comeback victory over Southwest Baptist on Saturday. During the second half, Rockhurst shot 63.6 percent (14-of-22) from the floor and 58.3 percent (10-of-25) from three.

Lincoln (17-7, 9-7 GLVC) comes into Thursday's game winners of three of its last four and five of its last seven. The Blue Tigers fell 70-56 to Truman State last Thursday, but defeated Quincy 93-60 last Saturday. 

The Lincoln-Rockhurst matchup on Thursday will be the first as conference foes and the first since Nov. 13, 2013, when Rockhurst won 95-93 in Jefferson City, Missouri. Rockhurst leads the all-time series, 19-13.

Missouri S&T (20-3, 14-2 GLVC) split its two games last week, but have won 13 of its last 15. The Miners fell 85-80 in overtime to William Jewell last Thursday and won 69-68 over Truman State last Saturday. Missouri S&T will play Southwest Baptist on Thursday before facing the Hawks on Saturday.

Rockhurst (16-8, 10-6 GLVC) leads the all-time series with Missouri S&T 28-15 dating back to 1988, with the teams splitting the last four games. Most recently, Rockhurst won 78-75 on Feb. 29, 2024, at Mason-Halpin.
