The Rockhurst men's basketball team close out 2025 with home games against William Woods on Tuesday at noon and Emporia State on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Last week, Rockhurst won 96-40 over Calvary on Dec. 8 and fell 78-74 to Missouri Western on Dec. 13.

Massi Malterer tallied a season-high 18 points, eight rebounds and three steals against Calvary.

Jaylen Wesley scored a career-high 33 points vs. Missouri Western, including 20 first-half points. He added 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season with two steals.

William Woods (5-7) fell 88-72 against Park on Dec. 6 but won 83-66 vs. Health Sciences and Pharmacy. The Owls will face Mount Mercy on Saturday before the matchup against Rockhurst on Tuesday.

The Hawks and Owls have only played one other time, which was back on Dec. 30, 2022, at Mason-Halpin Field House. Rockhurst won, 75-71.

Emporia State (3-6) fell 84-74 to Missouri Western on Dec. 6 and won 113-60 over Kansas Christian. The Hornets face Sterling on Wednesday before the game against Rockhurst.

The Hornets lead the all-time series 49-41. Rockhurst won 87-84 in the most recent contest on Dec. 20, 2024, in Emporia, Kansas.
