Rockhurst captures team title at KC Cup

Kingston Solomon tied for sixth place

The Rockhurst men's golf team captured the team title at the KC Cup Tuesday at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Missouri.

The Hawks finished with an 888 team score over 54 holes, edging William Jewell by one stroke. Rockhurst shot a 299 in the first and third rounds, while shooting a 290 in the second round.

Freshman Kingston Solomon tied for sixth place at 220 to lead the Hawks. He shot a 74 in the first round, 71 in the second round and 75 in the third round.

David Schilp tied for 10th place at 223 (73-75-75), Ben Elgas tied for 12th at 223 (77-68-79) and Elijah Shirley tied for 17th at 227 (79-76-79).

Freshman Daniel Bahlinger led the Rockhurst B team, tying for 19th place at 228 (79-73-76).
