For the first time in program history, the Rockhurst men's golf team has earned an invitation to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships.

The Hawks will be one of 20 teams competing in the Midwest/Central Regional May 7-9 in Big Rapids, Michigan, at the Katke Golf Club with Ferris State serving as the host. Rockhurst is ranked fifth in the Midwest Region.

The NCAA announced on Sunday the field of 80 teams and 32 student-athletes competing as individuals that have been selected to participate in regional competition of the 2026 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships.

At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals, May 18-22 at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. The remaining eight team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year's head-to-head medal play portion of the championships, with the maximum number of teams from a given region capped at seven.

Rockhurst is led by Kingston Solomon, who holds a scoring average of 73.6 with two top-five finishes this season. Mike Wolski follows with a scoring average of 74.4 while Ashton Vinton has a scoring average of 74.6 and two top-three finishes.
