Braun tabbed new graduate assistant coach

Levi Braun holds Washburn’s school career record for 3-point field goal percentage
Levi Braun has been tabbed as the new graduate assistant men's basketball coach at Rockhurst, announced Head Coach Kyle Blackbourn on Tuesday.

Braun graduated from Washburn University last December with a degree in Kinesiology. He played four seasons for the Ichabods under coach Brett Ballard. Braun is Washburn's all-time leader in 3-point field goal percentage (45.0 percent) and scored 550 career points. He is a four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

"We are very excited to add Levi to our coaching staff," said Blackbourn. "He's coming to us after a successful playing career at Washburn. Levi will be great on the floor with our student-athletes and an asset in recruiting. He's familiar with the area and what it takes to be a successful Division 2 athlete. I'm looking forward to working with Coach Braun."

Braun is from Topeka, Kansas and was an All-State player at Hayden High School. He led the city in scoring with a 21.1 scoring average in his senior year and was selected for the Kansas vs. Missouri Borderline game.
