Women post 6-1 victory over William Jewell

Zuzanna Szmyd won in No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles

The Rockhurst women's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 6-1 victory over William Jewell Saturday at the Plaza Tennis Center.

Rockhurst (14-6, 3-2 GLVC) clinched third place in the GLVC West Division. The Hawks will meet Missouri-St. Louis in the first round of the GLVC Tournament at noon Friday in Springfield, Missouri.

Ella Coleman, Marina Magai, Zuzanna Szmyd, Dani Lentisco and Maria Baez won their singles matches. Coleman and Szmyd combined to win No. 2 doubles, 6-1. Baez and Lentisco captured No. 3 doubles, 6-0.
