Schilp leads Hawks in Maverick Desert Classic

David Schlip tied for seventh place

The Rockhurst men's golf team finished in sixth place at the Maverick Desert Classic Tuesday at the Penn Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.

The Hawks shot a 301 on the second day to finish with a 36-hole score of 597. Missouri S&T won the team title at 563.

David Schilp led the Hawks, tying for seventh place at 145 (71-74). Ben Elgas and Elijah Shirley tied for 19th place at 149. Joseph Fallis and Caleb Schmid tied for 50th at 155.
