Brown, Hawthorne receive GLVC honors

Rockhurst's Timaris Brown and Brian Hawthorne have earned postseason honors from the Great Lakes Valley Conference, as the league office announced the Men's Basketball postseason awards on Wednesday (March 6).

Brown earned All-GLVC Second Team honors as he ranks ninth in scoring (15.7) and ninth in rebounding (6.5 pg) in the GLVC. The sophomore forward scored a career-high 30 points against Missouri S&T on Jan. 18.

Hawthorne was named the GLVC All-Freshman Team. The 6-1 guard ranks 12th in assists (2.7 pg) and seventh in steals (1.7 pg) in the GLVC. He averaged 8.3 points per game and scored a season-high 23 points against Missouri S&T on Feb. 29.

Sophomore guard Miles White was named as Rockhurst's GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree.
