Three Hawks earn Academic All-District honors

The Rockhurst men's basketball team placed three student-athletes on the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team.

Nick Arensberg, Jake Auer and Rron Thaci earned their second Academic All-District® honors.

Arensberg, a senior from Leawood, Kansas, averaged 7.8 points and 2.3 rebounds while starting 28 games.

Auer, a senior guard from Clive, Iowa, ranked eighth in the GLVC in 3-point field goals made (2.1 pg) while averaging 9.6 points per game.

Thaci, a junior forward from Chicago, Illinois, averaged 6.1 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in 27 games.

The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 17.
