Reilly headlines five Hawks on All-GLVC Teams

For the third consecutive year, Rockhurst grad student libero Maureen Reilly was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Libero of the Year and an All-GLVC First Team honoree.

Joining Reilly on the All-GLVC First Team is grad student right side hitter Tera Reberry. Grad student setter Sarah Montague, junior outside hitter Sarah Pyle and sophomore middle hitter Ali Olson received All-GLVC Second Team honors. Reberry, Montague and Pyle were named to the All-GLVC Second Team last year.

Libero of the Year: Maureen Reilly, Graduate Student, Rockhurst
  • Wins Libero of the Year for a third year running and becomes Rockhurst's 12th overall major award winner.
  • Placed second in the GLVC for digs per set (5.72) and third overall in total digs (549) in 96 sets played.
  • Led the Conference in digs per set (6.06) and total digs (309) through 51 Conference sets.
  • Placed third in service aces with 40 total (0.42/set), 19 (0.19/set) coming in Conference play.
  • Added 145 total assists (1.51/set) with 70 (1.37/set) coming in GLVC matches.
  • Named Molten GLVC Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 4.
The Hawks (19-6, 10-3 GLVC) will face Illinois Springfield in the quarterfinals of the GLVC Tournament at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Williamsville, Illinois. Rockhurst is ranked third in the NCAA Midwest Regional rankings.

The All-Conference awards are nominated and voted on by league coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own players.

Truman State earned the sport's GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Team Award, while 14 student-athletes were GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honorees. The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. Molly Trachta is Rockhurst's nominee and is now eligible to become one of the school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
